What are the landscapers on Sky Atlantic?

Landscapers is a new dark comedy drama starring Oscar winner Olivia Colman and David Thewlis.

They represent a seemingly normal married couple who are very much in love.

But they hide a tragic secret: they murdered his parents in cold blood.

Sky describes it as a “fun exploration of love and fantasy”.

Olivia Colman and David Thewlis play the roles of gentle-mannered husband and wife, Susan and Christopher Edwards.

The couple have been fleeing reality for more than 15 years.

In their minds, fantasies are Hollywood heroes …

In reality, they are double murderers who have blocked their gnawing guilt.

Are landscapers a true story?

Landscapers is based on the frightening true story of double murderers Susan and Christopher Edwards.

Susan murdered her own mother and father Patricia and William Wycherly in 1998.

With the help of her husband, Susan shot both parents and buried them in a shallow grave in their back garden.

They committed the money only for financial gain – they wanted access to Patricia and William’s bank accounts.

The couple managed to hide the crime for years.

After fleeing and ending up in France, they finally surrendered in 2012.

Sky Atlantic Landscape Trailer

Sky released the Landscapers trailer last month.

It shows Susan and Christopher arriving in the UK where the police are waiting for them – and the media.

We hear Christopher urging his wife to just “tell their story, no need to make it up.”

But, as they are both held up for questioning, Susan’s vivid imagination takes over.

The trailer shows the couple in scenes from classic movies as real life and imagination collide.
