Jasper Community Arts has revealed the artists featured in its upcoming 2022-2023 show season.
Twelve performances will be presented, most occurring at the Jasper Arts Center, with a few presented at the historic Astra Theatre. The 2022-2023 JCA season will run from September 2022 to April 2023. Customers who purchased tickets in previous seasons should expect to receive a season guide in the mail within a few weeks.
Jasper Community Arts offers customers several packages to choose from. The Grand Package includes tickets for all twelve performances and offers the best price per ticket for each performance. Subscriptions are also available for the Main Stage, Backstage and Live at the Astra series.
Those who had a subscription during the 2021-2022 season will be able to renew their subscription(s) from June 6. New subscriptions can be purchased from July 1 and individual tickets can be purchased from August 1.
Beginning August 1, individual tickets will be available for purchase online at www.jasperarts.org/tickets. Customers do not need to purchase an entire series to order tickets, but JCA recommends purchasing tickets in advance due to high demand. New subscriptions and single tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested customers should therefore order these tickets as soon as possible.

A fast-paced, fun, physical extravaganza filled with spooky ghosts, little Scots, singing nuns, and a mysterious vassal in the castle, Hamlet and Ophelia navigate their parents and their own feelings while putting on a show – what – what could go wrong? In the spirit of Shakespeare himself, RSC broadcasts sometimes contain coarse language and slight innuendo. Some content may not be suitable for children under 13.

Featuring real letters from real people throughout history writing about their experiences in times pandemics, civil rights activism, and more. More importantly, they write about finding hope and meaning – and humor – when times are particularly difficult.
INVOKE (Presented with support from Jim and Pat Thyen) Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Described as “not classic… but not classic” (SiriusXM Classical Producer David Srebnik), Invoke continues to successfully dodge even the valiant attempts to classify genres. The other “steps” of the multi-instrumental group encompass traditions from across America, including bluegrass, Appalachian fiddle tunes, jazz and minimalism. 4 AN EVENING WITH ROBIN SPIELBERG (Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Whether playing music that embraces the transitions of the seasons, celebrating the thrill of romance or familiar holiday tunes, the concerts of Robin Spielberg blends accomplished musical performance with humor and inspiring stories.As an artist with a multi-faceted and successful career, Spielberg has performed in such prestigious venues as: Carnegie Hall, (3 times), the Seoul Arts Center, Mao Livehouse in Shanghai, on CBS Saturday Morning, PBS, Life Time Live and NPR.

THE QUEEN’S CARTOONISTS Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. The Queen’s Cartoonists perform music from classic cartoons and contemporary animation. The performances are synchronized with the video projections of the original films, with the aim of creating a concert of classical music and jazz for everyone, regardless of age, gender or familiarity with the concert hall. Since their inception in 2015, the Queen’s Cartoonists have gone from performing on the New York City subway to selling out the Blue Note Jazz Club and opening for the New York Philharmonic. The 6 members, born on 3 continents, are now residents of Queens, NY. Expect the unexpected from a repertoire that includes the golden age of animation, cult cartoon classics, modern video plays, comedy and elements of a musical circus!

ROYAL WOOD Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Royal Wood has established himself as a true musical talent. Royal continues to continually evolve and perfect his musical craft – earning multiple JUNO Award nominations and iTunes “Songwriter of the Year” along the way, as well as touring with Bonnie Raitt and David Gray. .
