Whether or not you personally believe in climate change is not the issue… the truth is that our children are gravely concerned about it.
Viselman is the executive producer of the incredibly timely and imperative new children’s series, MeteoHeroes, the definitive climate education series, already streaming in 145 countries and 22 languages.
The MeteoHeroes are a group of pint-sized superheroes, each representing the seven continents and different natural elements. Working in tandem to fight the disasters of climate change, our fearless heroes fight using their own unique superhuman abilities to save our planet.
And even with MeteoHeroes’ award-winning special airing on PBS stations and record-breaking ratings around the world, Viselman was unable to get anyone in government to act on the issue of climate education, no matter how loud he shouted from the rooftops. .
This climate education initiative is created to help children have hope and realize they have the power to change the world, with a global message to children: “You don’t have to wear a cape to be a superhero. And because EVERY child in America and around the world has the right to climate education.
“I personally have always seen myself as an advocate for young children…not an activist and certainly not a political figure…I kept expecting our elected officials and the Supreme Court to step up and do their job to protect future generations. The children of our country are suffering and it falls on deaf ears. Every day that our governments fail to act is another day that children and their families around the world will be the ones who will suffer.
Knowing the urgency of the situation as children continue to suffer and it could take up to a year for the field element to recover, Viselman felt he had no choice but to act now.
This initiative, the largest of its kind, would include graded classroom education for children ages 4 to 10, on-screen education with online educational materials for children and their families, and broad community outreach and the list goes on and on.
Viselman had had enough and decided to recruit KIDS FIRST!, a nonprofit project of the Coalition for Quality Children’s Media, to be the GoFundMe campaign trustee. With KIDS FIRST! The following companies have already committed to bringing this climate education initiative to every corner of the world.
Itsy bitsy Entertainment Company has already reached agreements with its production partner, Mondo TV Studios SA, one of the largest animation producers in Europeand Luigi Latini Meteo Experts, a global team of renowned meteorologists who have been studying the climate since 1995, along with Adventure 2 Learning, the educational platform specifically created and curated to support active learning from K-8, to bring this education initiative climate change in 30,000 schools across the country with an age-appropriate curriculum for children ages 4-10… This alone would impact up to 15,000,000 students in America and millions and millions more in at least the twenty other countries already served by A2L around the world. .
Viselman has also partnered with KVIE PBS to be the “presenting station” and works with many PBS stations across the country to air or air MeteoHeroes in conjunction with an original companion series, Real Superheroes Don’t Wear. Capes, to be produced in collaboration with KIDS FIRST! The initiative will implement educational materials both on-screen and online, as well as creating opportunities for PBS stations to be active partners in the community outreach campaign by engaging their audience in the framework of this initiative. We will also expand this campaign with our global partners where possible.
Wherever MeteoHeroes is watched, Viselman and its international partners, Mondo TV Studios SA, will offer elements of this educational initiative. The age-group schedule will be made available to all of the series’ existing media partners around the world to share with their audiences and anyone else wishing to access this material online.
Viselman and the team behind this initiative are committed to starting work on the various elements as soon as funding becomes available. The campaign will start immediately and the initial funds will be used for the development of educational materials by age group and other production costs. The plan is for Adventure 2 Learning to have access to distribute MeteoHeroes at the start of the 2022-2023 school year. The rest of the initiative will be rolled out as funds become available.
The campaign aims to $10 millionwith all the gifts, whether $10 Where $10,000, go to KIDS FIRST! Donations are tax deductible and extremely meaningful. For each donation, MeteoHeroes will plant a tree in honor of the donation in one of the MeteoHeroes forests being established around the world.
Viselman’s hope is to use the power of storytelling to change the world, with your help this dream will come true. If we don’t help our children, who will?
