Scott Lang’s daughter is going to be an adult superhero when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania kicks off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first official poster of Ant Man 3 was revealed by Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development and Concept Artist Andy Park ahead of Marvel Studios’ big panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The art features Ant-Man, Wasp, and Cassie Lang in their superhero garb as Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror looms large in the background. While most fans may have been focused on our first official look at Kang the Conqueror, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania the poster also places Cassie Lang in a comically accurate Stinger costume.
Cassie Lang’s Stinger superhero costume is purple and black, and she has a Quantum Realm helmet similar to that of her father, Scott, and Hope Van Dyne. A description of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania footage shown at Comic-Con 2022 showed Ant-Man and Wasp attempting to rescue Cassie after she was sucked into the Quantum Realm. Due to the time-traveling nature of the Quantum Realm, it’s conceivable to assume that the trio will encounter Kang the Conqueror during their mission. Although Cassie Lang actress Kathryn Newton has not confirmed that she will use the superhero codename Stinger in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniahis purple suit leans heavily in that direction.
The future Young Avenger began his superhero career as Stature, similar to Scott Lang’s tenure as Giant-Man. Cassie’s early career ended in heartbreak for Scott when she was killed in a battle with Doctor Doom. The villain would later set out to make up for his mistakes during the AXIS series of events, bringing Cassie back to life. Alive again, Cassie sought to be a hero again, but this time with the nickname Stinger.
Director Peyton Reed has joined his Ant Man 3 stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Kathryn Newton and Jonathan Majors at San Diego Comic-Con to tease its 2015 follow-up The ant Man and 2018 Ant-Man and the Waspbringing the first images of the threequel to Hall H.
“We were thrilled to be able to do a third The ant Man movie and do a trilogy,” Reed said. EO. “And we knew that if we were going to do that, we wanted to do some things differently. We really wanted to take a left turn and make an even more epic movie, but still advance the story of those family dynamics and all that. passes between Scott and Hope and Cassie.”
After disappearing into the Quantum Realm for five years between the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp and End of GameScott tries to reconnect with his 18-year-old daughter, Cassie.
“Cassie is 18 now and maybe Scott isn’t quite sure how to relate to her as an adult because he lost those five years to the events of End of Game,“said Reed. “And we also knew that we wanted to pit our heroes against a very, very formidable adversary. I grew up reading the comics and knew the character of Kang the Conqueror, who is one of the big bad characters in the comics, so being able to pit our heroes against Kang the Conqueror was a huge thing for us. We have become big and we have also become small.”
