Vieve Shimmer eye wands receive rave reviews

This holiday season and beyond, I’m all about shimmer. As for the eyelids, this is almost a must have. I’m not talking about disco ball glitter or a barely there glow, but somewhere in between is just perfect. I’m a huge fan of Jamie Genevieve’s makeup looks because she’s all about that rosy, healthy glow … so am I!

If she tells me that I need this Shimmering Eye wand, I am more than likely to listen so I decided to give the Blush Quartz shadow one go. On first impressions, I love a wand, it’s easy to hold and quick to apply. The wide tip of the ballpoint pen covers a large area, so you only need a few samples for the product to be visible. The pigment gives you a bit of room to build and blend, so you have full control. The only thing I would say is I could go for another shade next time I tried to be adventurous in choosing a cooler tone but the bondage I have for the shimmering golds will make me always back down. As for that Burn copper the shadow … I have my eyes on you!

Shadow: Old gold

I’ve been a longtime Jamie Genevieve fan and have been following her ever since she herself presented me with a smoky look through one of her YouTube tutorials at the time. When I got Vieve’s Eye Wand to review, this video immediately reminded me of it, so I decided to go for an all-smoky finish as a nostalgic little nod.

The shadow Old gold is the perfect tone to create that glamorous effect because, although it is dark in shade, it has tiny shimmering spots that catch the light and sparkle on your eyelid. I can’t stress enough how easy it is to use. I simply smeared it all over my lid, smudged the edges, and made myself a full eye shadow in under a minute – ready for my next party event. If you’re the type of person who relies on super-fast makeup that will have you on and out in seconds, then you’re going to love this. My favorite part? He didn’t wrinkle. At all.
